Created by singer, songwriter, producer, artist Larkn (Kristen Mercado) out of her passion for songwriting and music, BFHM specializes in areas such as artist development, career guidance, artist coaching, songwriting and production. We provide resources to up-and-coming musicians and artists in a number of areas that help artists, musicians, producers and songwriters build long-lasting, meaningful careers in the music business.

At Better From Here Music, we believe that great music begins with a great song, so it is a part of our mission to support songwriters. Songwriting is technically music and lyrics, but songwriters (and music fans) know that it is so much more than that. Great songs play a vital role in culture and in the lives of people, and they are also therapeutic to the artists making them. Sharing through lyrics is learning and healing. New, inspired music is refreshing so at Better From Here Music our goal is to have a far and penetrating reach. In past decades, great songs used to play a bigger role in modern society and Better From Here Music would like to cultivate resources to bring this important element of connectivity back to people's everyday lives. At Better From Here Music, we strive to create and support the creation of music that is the best of its kind.
